Walk 6: Libbery & Huddington Hill Farm
A pleasant
walk through
the hamlet of
Libbery, up the
nearby hill
with its
expansive and
lovely views
and through
Huddington
Hill Farm.
My favourite time to walk this route is Winter when there are rarely cattle in the fields to chase my dog.

- From the Village Hall, go through St.Kenelm’s churchyard, out onto Pershore Road (B4082) past the village shop and across the A422. Climb over a stile into the field to the R of a track. Follow the footpath E over three stiles through two ridge and furrow fields, across a bridge and another stile. Go diagonally up the slope to a stile in the top-L corner of the field, R after the stile, through a gate and along the L side of two fields, over two stiles into a field in front of a black and white cottage and Elm Farm.
- The path goes through the gate to the R of the black and white cottage, through Elm Farm farmyard and out onto the track in Libbery.
- Turn R onto the lane in Libbery, go down the lane, past Libbery Farm on the R and Box Tree Cottage on the L then take the L fork in the lane and walk N through the village.
- The lane winds through the village and becomes a track. Follow the track up the hill past the barns on the L (Seagers Buildings), down the slope past the big pond on the L, up past the mobile phone mast and along the R side of two more fields. (Wonderful views from this hill on clear days.)
- At a junction of bridleways in the corner of the second field after the mast, turn R and continue walking on the L of the field and down a green lane to Huddington Lane. Turn L along this quiet road for around 500m up the slope toward Huddington Hill Farm then L up the farm drive and follow this towards the farm buildings. NB: At the time of writing some of the barns are undergoing conversion. Footpath diversions came into force round these buildings in 2010 and OS maps may show the old routes.
- Go R round a barn and farm pond, through a gate then L towards the corner to join the track round the field boundary past the old farmhouse then R down the slope into the next field.
- Go through the field close to the brook to the R and through a small gate opposite. Continue a short way by the brook to a gate R. Turn R and through the gate, along the R of the field, through two sets of gates into the field by Bow Wood.
- Turn L and follow the Bridleway along the L of two fields towards Upton Snodsbury. Go through two sets of gates onto to a rough track follow this up a slope to the A422. Cross the road and retrace your steps back to the Village Hall.
